Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is a well-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father is from a Jewish origin. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California when she was seven years aged. They resided in an area without electric power. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and spent most of her time reading a book because she didn't have a TV. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 in the year she turned twelve years old. She landed her debut role on the large screen in 1986 after she turned 15 years older. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Her performance career, as she had hoped that it would aid her. It didn't take place. Still she continued pursuing her goals. Her big break came in 1988 with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played successful roles in a variety of films. In 1993 she was nominated two times to win Academy Awards. One of them for her role as a character in The Age of Innocence.
