Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman who is a businesswoman. She currently holds the position of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss was born in California and grew up an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who later owned the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 She began feeling emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she joined the family business as the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. The position she held was the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over control of the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family that gave each sibling equal voting rights. Buss assumed the role of president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
